Re: Upton Park
I kind of feel the same way,but emotions aside we'll have more chance of experiencing that on a regular basis at the OS.

Progress right?

Re: Upton Park
Look, if we didn't take it, someone else would, and if it was Spurs, we'd all be feeling pig sick about now. The ground doesn't make the atmosphere, the fans do, we're taking it with us. COYI

Re: Upton Park
The first purpose of a football stadium from a supporters perspective is simply to watch and view a football match.

unfortunately the O/S is not designed for this function,it never was

Re: Upton Park
So you won't be able to see a game of football when you get in Hugh?

That's more your eyes than bad design.

Re: Upton Park
An inteligent football watcher will not be able to view the contest from an intelligible vantage point, in at least 40% of the area supposedly designed for spectators

Re: Upton Park
We have had many special games at Upton Park over the years against the big boys giving a few bloody noses along the way especially under the lights. It is up to us fans and the players to make the OS a place where no one wants to come. Sure it will never be as intimidating as the old Upton Park before the terraces went but we have to move on and make the best of it.
